Well, I'm guess I'm going to have to change the name of this blog since I'm getting married! Yep, it's true, it's really happening. And holy cow it's been crazy trying to get everything ready!
Remy proposed on November 20th at my 25th birthday party in front of all my friends and family. We decided on a spring wedding and then the day before Thanksgiving we were talking and joking around about doing it at the end of December because we already have a bunch of time off. Well, the more we started talking the better and better it sounded and we decided, what the heck?! Let's just do it! So we set the date for December 28th and never looked back!
I have such a great friend Jan who has been organizing the whole thing. She has such great ideas and is so supportive and willing to do anything, I don't think this would be going so well if it weren't for her! As of today we have literally all the big stuff out of the way...venue, decorations, cake, flowers, dress, tux, rings, food --just little details that need to be finished up. And if anything isn't done yet, well it's scheduled to be done. I'm thinking that by the end of this week we will be set on everything!
It was so nice because I figured (and was totally fine with) that I wouldn't be having any bridal showers since there was only 4 weeks til the wedding when we set the date. But my boss at work and also one of my past Young Women's leaders asked to throw me a shower. And I guess Remy's family is planning one for after the wedding. I thought that was so sweet. The work shower is this Friday and I'm looking forward to it.
I seriously can't wait! We have a trip to Disneyland all booked for the honeymoon and it's going to be a crazy weekend when we get back with moving all my crap and stuff. Hopefully we can get most of it moved before hand (although with Christmas in the way I highly doubt it).

New Friend
Okay so about 8 months ago Remy got a kitten named Malcolm. He is super cute, but dang that cat is CRAZY! Seriously crazy. In fact he even got nicknamed, and pardon my French, but his loving nickname Remy gave him is the shitty kitty -because he is one. We're pretty sure he hallucenates because he'll sit at the base of all wall, look straight up, start making these weird noises and then jump like he's trying to get something. Yeah, there's nothing there. His newest trick is to jump, spread eagle on your back if you bend over at all. I keep reminding Remy that he picked Malcolm because he was so cute ASLEEP, not because of his personality while he was awake! True story.
So Remy had been debating ever since he brought Malcolm home whether or not he should get a second cat as a playmate for Malcolm. I think he was so paranoid about even having one that he decided not to get the second. Well over time we figured out that Malcolm tends to behave a little better when people are around more. And with Remy always at work and then doing other stuff after work, there wasn't anyone around to keep the kitty company. Then when Remy was working 70 hour weeks for a while there, things just got out of hand and Malcolm was getting psychotic. So it was decided he needed a friend.
Remy went to the pet store a few weeks ago to pick some stuff up and the Humane Society was there and he fell in love with an older (older as in 5 months old and not a brand new kitten) gray kitten. He went home and got Malcolm so they could meet and make sure they didn't hate each other. I wasn't there, but apparently Malcolm was afraid of this cute little girl. But they didn't seem to hate each other so he brought her home. He named her Little Grey...I say it's after Merideth's sister in Grey's Anatomy he says it's partially that and partially something else...whatever.
For a while Malcolm just followed Little Grey everywhere she went and wouldn't leave her alone. Then he started pouncing on her and pinning her down until she growled and hissed (which is so cute by the way because she such a little thing and doesn't make a peep otherwise). She had just been spayed so she wasn't really in the mood to fight back much. But she has changed her tune now! He's teaching her some bad habits.
The point of all of this is the picture at the top (I really hate how pictures are not easily moved on this site and my new version of explorer won't let me copy and paste my text within this post and I forgot to add the pic first!). This is poor, sick Little Grey. She had a fever and a soar throat and a stuffy nose. It was the saddest thing ever. We took her to the vet and they did some tests and gave her some meds, but she was sick for quite a while and it was the saddest thing ever. She would just lay in her bed just like the picture, poor little thing. You can just see on her face how miserable she is. She was so cuddly though...and P.S. she loves me! Which means I can't help but love her back! Whenever I go over there she comes and sits on my lap (I think Remy is a little jealous).
Anyhow she's pretty much back to herself now and still loves me. ;)

Halloween
So Remy and I got invited to the first Halloween party I can remember...ever. It was good time, thanks to Joey and Brie for hosting. The trick, like always, is to figure out what the heck you're going to BE for Halloween. I have never gotten that into it, I really just don't care much for dressing up I guess. We had come up with a few ideas, but nothing really solid. Remy went shopping one day on his own and got the idea of a greek god and goddess. Then that morphed into him wanting to be Cupid. -No, not the diaper version! I had a couple people bring that up when I told them the idea. It actually turned out really cute. White tunic with red cape, gold leaf head thing, bow and arrow with hearts on the end of the arrows. And let's not forget the feather angel wings and red heart tatoo on the arm! You want a picture you say? Well, so sorry pictures can only be taken by people with cameras. And since I lost my camera I am not one of those people. Maybe if we dress up on Halloween day I'll use my crappy phone one or something.
Now there was this guy there at the party who had dressed up like Michael Jackson. I kid you not if I didn't know the dude was dead, I would have been pretty confused! This guy was amazing! He had the look, hair, lips, outfit, voice, moves...the whole package. It was trippy. His wife said he even lost 40 pounds just for that! Uh, dedication to the extreme.

If You'd Like to Make a Call...Please Hang Up and Dial Again
If you want me to call you back, you need to leave me your phone number. Even -strike that - ESPECIALLY if your message is urgent or time sensitive. I don't know what else to tell you besides the fact that I can't read minds and I don't have the ability to track your call as though you are a criminal I need to find because you have hostages bound and gagged in a basement somewhere.
That was going to be all I had to say, but I just experienced something else that inspired the title I'll mention:
First of all, I am not the University Operator. I don't even know how you got my number in the first place. You cannot call me and the only thing you speak is someone else's name. I don't know what that means. Perhaps use the name in a sentence that describes the purpose of your phone call. For example: "Hello, do you know the phone number or can you transfer me to ....?" See how easy that was? --However, let's not forget, I'm not the University Operator -so you shouldn't be calling me for phone numbers anyway!
The funny thing, when I did transfer this terrible communicator, either I dialed the wrong number or the number is disconnected! HA! After I felt bad for like one second, I felt as though it was sweet justice. Then the terrible communicator called me right back (which I was expecting) and then hung up when I answered the phone. So that was either to get me back or the terrible communicator decided I'd probably just give him the same number again. -Which isn't true, but I never got the chance to show him.

Peach Days Miracle/State Fair Fun
Okay so about a hundred years ago it was Peach Days up in Brigham City...so maybe not 100 years, more like a few weeks ago--September 12th to be exact...
So I wanted to go to Peach Days real, real bad and Remy being the kind hear that his said he'd take me. So we start driving and we're coming up on the Brigham City exits and it dawns on me that I have no idea where in Brigham City this thing actually is. I know, I know you're thinking, "what's the big deal, Brigham City is like the smallest place EVER!" Well guess what, even if that's true, when you have no idea where you're going any size place can feel huge.
This is where the miracle comes in. We decide to get off on the second exit. I'm searching the GPS on my phone hoping to find the location of the city park or something cuz chances are it's nearby. Lo and behold we got off the freeway and practically ran into Peach Days!
It was way fun! I have some pics, but they're on my other computer so I'll have to post them later. They had a car show and holy cow I couldn't believe how many cars they had. Two huge fields just full of them. We could have spent all day looking at them.
We had some delicious food which included Dutch Oven peach cobbler....MMMMMMmmmm! After Peach Days we headed straight over to Remy's parents' house to meet his family to go to the State Fair. It was quite the day!
At the fair we saw a sign advertising the smallest woman in the world. Remy's sister in laws and I were totally curious about it and wondered if it was real or how they did it, or what. So we gathered our dollar bills and took a peek. Wow, there was really a woman sitting there, in a chair, and we just paid a dollar to stare at her. I felt terrible! It was just a weird feeling, I felt bad for her. She's from Haiti and I think the guy taking the money was from there as well. So I'm sure they were making decent money, and it's not like she's being held captive or something. I just can't imagine knowing that people are spending a dollar to come stare at you is that great. I don't know. We all walked away feeling bad. The funny thing is that my mom was at the fair a few days later and someone was talking to her about this and they said they felt bad about it too.
Let's see, what else? We got some funnel cake--delish! It had bavarian cream and chocolate sauce. I'm ususally a fan of fruit toppings, but that was way good. Remy got a slushy that had a leak in the bottom of the cup so it leaked red juice all over him. We checked out al the animals (thrilling) and that was just about it.

Appreciate Your Own Shoes
Life is hard. I don't care what people say, it's the truth. Yeah, yeah sometimes it seems like it's going smoothly, but just wait, hard times probably aren't far off. -Not trying to be a downer, but that's just how it goes.
Sometimes though, I need to realize that life could be hardER. I look around at other people and think, "Man, sure glad I'm not in their shoes." Because even after I say that I look down and think, "My shoes suck! Can't I have someone else's?" Right this second I can think of about 50 pairs of shoes I'd much rather have than my own. Why? Why can't I appreciate the ones I have? Really, someone else's shoes may look pretty, but once you step in...you just never know.
Maybe my shoes are still being broken in. You know how sometimes you get a pair and they are comfy at first, then they hurt like hell, then...they're the best, most comfortable shoes you've ever had? Perhaps mine just take a little longer to break in than I want them to. Or really, there are a number of other things that could be the reason behind my distaste for my shoes. Perhaps they are the wrong size, wrong style for the season...maybe that's it. Maybe there's just a pebble inside and I haven't figured out how to shake it out yet. Who knows? Not me, that's for dang sure. If I did I wouldn't be wishing I had someone else's.
But like I said before, life can be harder. My shoes could be so, SO much worse. That can be hard to remember at times. I guess I just need to learn to appreciate my own shoes.

Pete and Repeat
Sometimes talking to people feels like a joke, a bad one. One that goes something like this: Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat. Pete and Repeat were sitting in a boat, Pete falls out and who's left? Repeat.
Get the picture?
Really? You're asking me that AGAIN? And I'm telling you the same answer AGAIN? Did I mention you've been here longer than me, yet I feel like this is your first day and somehow it became my responsibility to train you? Did you forget what it was like to think a problem through on your own rather than relying solely on someone else to think it out for you? Did you not remember the 50 other times I held your hand and walked you through each step so you would be able to do it on your own? But here we are again, holding hands. Is logic not something you are familiar with? Is there a reason you are making this as complicated as possible? I'm sorry, did your elementary school teachers not to teach you how to follow intructions? I've literally spelled this out for you in person, in writing, over the phone... the only other thing left is for me to do it for you, but I can't. Would you please not answer your own question on my voicemail? -Just shut your door and talk it over with yourself for a minute, I'm sure you'll come up with the right answer. Why do you ask me if I'm tired of hearing from you? -What do you want me to say to that? Did the word patience get deleted from your dictionary? If you don't leave me a message how do I know you are trying to get a hold of me? Why do you refuse to go with the flow? Why do you not listen to my question and then try to answer me with something that is off topic? Why do you even think that makes sense? Do you still believe in the tooth fairy? Cuz you've got me wondering. You do realize that I know you're full of it when you claim to be in the right place and tell me it's not working, but then you actually GO to where I'm telling you and you act like it suddenly began working? Why do you understand something one day and then the next you act like this is a brand new concept? Um, did you not ever learn how to read? No, YOU are the one who called this meeting...why would we have anything we would like to say? Isn't that your job? You do realize that I'm going to hear this again when you call me, so a 10 minute voicemail is not necessary? Why are there 5 different people calling me regarding the same situation? Do you people not talk to each other? Why, after I told you I don't know the answer do you insist on asking me anyway? Is there a reason your check is twice as much as mine? Remember the hand holding? -Yeah. Why? WHY? WHY?
Phew! Glad to get that off my chest. ;)

Scared of a Ghost
So this is another story about my Sunbeams. It's pretty short and sweet and writing it probably won't do it justice because you have to hear their little voices to appreciate just how cute this was. But I'll do my best.
I sadly do not remember many of the details surrounding this story. I want to say this happened on the day of our Easter lesson, but at the same time it doesn't seem to necessarily fit there. I would like to throw in a blurb about the Easter lesson so I never forget....as I talked about Jesus' death and how he was resurrected, those kids sat so quietly and intently and they had these wide eyes and they took in every word I said. I have never, ever seen them listen like they did that day. I can still picture their little faces and they asked so many questions...I don't want to forget that day.
So back to the Ghost story. It was a dark and stormy night. The wind was howling through the trees and thunder rumbled in the distance...okay not really. It was probably before noon on a cheeful spring day at church which doesn't seem like the proper set up for a ghost story, but that's all I got. For one reason or another we were talking about the Holy Ghost; who he is and what he does for us. We use the term "Holy Ghost" all the time in church, but as with lots of other terms in life we don't always think about the literal meaning of what we're saying and how people who are not familiar with the word may misinterpret it.
We were going through the lesson and little Evan looks at me and says, in a spooky voice (PLEASE try to imagine a little 3 year old say this in a little shaky, scary voice) "The Holy Ghost is scaryyyy!"
It was so cute I about lost it! Then try to tell a 3 year old a ghost isn't scary...told you it was short, but it always makes me smile when I think about it. In fact I even quote him all the time! :)

Story Time
So I always wonder what to post about. I seriously think about it all the time, but I can never seem to come up with anything that great. I'm also always thinking about how I should write down some of my funny stories, but never seem to get around to doing it. Well, over the weekend I had those two thoughts at the same time and bam! A great idea was born. So lucky you, it's story time.
I'm going to start with my Sunbeam stories, they are really the best!
Today's story will be titled, Find Faith...in Candy
Note: this is probably one of my favorite sunbeam stories.
For about 2 years I taught the Sunbeams at my parent's ward -maybe it was 3, now I can't remember! For those of you who may not know, Sunbeams are ages 3-4 and they are the funniest kids ever! They are also like little sponges and they learn so much you don't even realize. It's important to remember that starting at 18 months I think, prior to being a Sunbeam the kids spend 2 hours at church in Nursery where they get to play with toys, have snacks, and a very short lesson. On January 1st if you are 3 years old, you get to move into Sunbeams where you now get to sit quietly in a chair for 2 hours. --Yeah right. It's a pretty hard switch for kids because most of them have never been in a structured class before so they've never been taught the rules of classroom life. Not to mention they are 3 years old! I don't expect them to be perfect, and they really do try.
I usually tried to have a treat for them during class, for one because they are so cute I just can't help myself. And two, it keeps them quiet and occupied for at least a few minutes. :)
One week around Christmas time back in 2007 I think, we had a lesson in Sharing Time about faith. We learned what faith was and how we use it in our lives. We got back to our own class and I started the lesson, which probably continued the theme, but I can't remember.
On this particular week I had forgotten to go to the store and get something I knew they would like. Luckily my roommate liked those mint M&M's so I took some of those not knowing the response I would get from my little rays of sunshine.
This week I was lucky and only had 3 little boys in my class (man I can't believe how different boys really are from girls!) Evan, Matthew, and Luke.
Once class got going I gave each boy a few pieces and told them that they were mint M&M's.
Evan was first. He put a few pieces in his mouth, chewed, and said "I don't like this!" But he finished what was in his mouth.
Next was Matthew. Put candy in mouth. Chew. Swallow. "I like these! I like mint M&M's!"
Finally Luke. He put them in his mouth, chewed for a second and immediately wanted to spit them out. So I got him the garbage can and that's what he did.
I apologized to them and let them know I'd get them something better next week. As class went on they each answered some questions and I wanted to reward them with their treats, but felt bad that only one kid liked them and could very well give candy to just one child. When they each answered a question I asked them if they wanted some candy anyway. Of course they all did. So I went through the same routine.
Evan: "I don't like these!"
Matthew: "These are good!"
Luke: Spit immediately into garbage can.
Matthew continued to express his like for mint M&M's, and I think Evan picked up on my pleased response, because he put the rest of his candy in his mouth, looked at me and said,
"I have faith to like mint M&M's!" Imagine this is a cute little 3 year old voice, it makes the story so much better. :)
What did I tell you about them being sponges?
Little Evan continued to munch on M&M's for the rest of the class.
Luke Finally learned his lesson and declined any more offers of candy.
Tune in tomorrow for an exciting "Ghost" story featuring my favorite cast!

Recent Happenings
I'm going to do my best to update you all on my recent events and add pictures too. Me and blog pictures do not get along.
Where to begin? Well, Cherie came up from Vegas over memorial day weekend for a baby shower. And she was nice enough to cut my hair as well as Jan's. It turned out so cute! I need to take a good picture to post, but the important thing to know is that I chopped it off! And I love it!
Heather and Jared got married on June 4th. It was pretty fun. They had a photo booth, cotton candy, churros....and no, it was not a carnival and yes it was done tastefully. I hadn't even realized how much stress I was under until it was over. And I seriously didn't have that much to do I thought! Erik and Amy spent the night at my house the night before, which doesn't make sense to some people because I live in Salt Lake, they live in Layton, and the wedding was in Logan. But I promise you it was better this way. They were really good the whole time and slept in the car the whole way there.
You can't really tell, but Erik wore his tie made out of duct tape. Hey, I was okay with it because at least it was solid. He originally picked a Dilbert tie. So I see this as an up
Heather had clear converse as her wedding shoes. They are totally her perfect version of Cinderella's glass slippers. Although she got pretty sick of showing people, but what do you expect?
I told you it was so cute! Her colors were green, blue, orange and yellow. The story on how we ended up with those is a bit long, and people were afraid when I told them what the colors were, but it turned out so cute. It was really windy up until about the last hour of the reception which drove me nuts because the linens wouldn't stay in place.
This is Amy and her posse. Seriously, the funniest thing I've ever seen. Those girls were following her around like stink on a skunk. Seen Mean Girls? Then you get it. My sister was totally Regina George.
We obviously had professional cotton candy people putting these together. :) Regardless of how they looked, that cotton candy was a hit!

Just Scootin' Along
So last summer I REALLY wanted to get a little scooter to ride to work, but it just didn't happen. My pal Meagan from work got one last summer and that's what gave me the itch. Well, the other day I saw one parked in the lot at work and the itch returned. So I was asking Meagan some questions about hers, and was checking up on KSL.com for some good deals. Long story short, there wasn't a whole lot in my price range that caught my eye. So longer story even shorter...I walked into the scooter store and walked out with the cutest PINK scooter ever! (and for those of you who don't know me, I can't resist anything that's pink) So what if I had never driven one before? :) Needless to say Remy was the one that took her home. I was too scared! Only one car of girls made fun of him that I noticed ;) I appreciated the sacrifice on his part.
I got some good practice in today and even drove my route to work so I'd be ready! And I think I am. But if you happen to see me on the side of the road, injured, would you please stop and help me? :) For whatever reason right hand turns are a challenge for me! But boy or boy is she sure fun to drive.

Tulip Festival
I've been wanting to go to the tulip festival at Thanksgiving Point ever since I heard the commercials. Saturday was the last day and even though it was rainy, Remy took me! We get out there, and it was a little windy, but no rain yet. We purchase our (overpriced) tickets, got our map and headed out. Well not long after we started walking the rain started. Neither of us were prepared with an umbrella or even a hooded jacket for that matter, but a little rain never hurt anyone so we kept going. After a little while Remy realized he had some ponchos in his car so he went and got 'em, we put 'em on and....it didn't rain for the rest of the time! Not true, I guess it sprinkled for a second near the end there, but it definitely wasn't poncho worthy rain. I took some pics with my camera phone which is a piece; I kept forgetting my camera all weekend! And there were definitely some kodak moments that were missed. C'est la vie.

Hot Chocolate Update
In case any of you felt the pain I felt about losing my hot chocolate to a drain due to the lack of cups, I was able to obtain myself a cup of frothy goodness this morning. And it was delicious!
Hello? Yes I'm in the middle of class. Is that a problem?
Really? Since when did we start answering our phones in class? Let me tell you, Salt Lake Community College has got to be the classiest place I've ever been (I hope you can just see the sarcasm oozing off of that one).
First I have to deal with the crappy teachers. And now crappy students? Please, common courtesy-not to mention common SENSE:
#1: If your phone rings in class, DON'T answer it.
#2: Your phone shouldn't even ring, because it should be on silent! -This is not a new concept!
For the love people, if for some reason you will DIE if you don't take the phone call right that second, at least get off your butt and walk out the door and converse outside of the classroom. It's hard enough to learn there as it is without being disrupted by a stupid girl talking on her gold phone in the middle of class!

Farewell to 80 Cents and Frothy Goodness
Goodbye 80 cents.
Goodbye hot chocolate.
I wanted you this morning, you know.
You popped into my head and I could not let you go.
You popped into my head and I could not let you go.
I imagined your frothy goodness on my tounge, warming me from the inside out.
And I wanted you.
I found a dollar bill in my wallet, and I knew I could have you.
How excited I was!
A little cup of joy to brighten a cold, snowy Monday morning at work.
You were just a short walk away.
I sped down the stairs and through the door to where I knew they kept you.
I placed by dollar in the Maxwell House vending machine,
And selected you: "whipped hot chocolate" "large."
My change was dispensed,
The machine purred to life....
Swirling and twirling inside-
Dispensing hot, frothy goodness.
The smell of delicious, creamy melted chocolate filled me.
My mouth watered.
Oh how I longed for you.
I peered through the small door that separated you and me, me and you-
"NO!" I shouted.
"It can't be!" I exclaimed.
And I watched,
helplessly,
hopelessly
As your last drops trickled
D

Into
-not a cup-
But the dark, abyss of the drain.
Goodbye 80 cents.
Goodbye hot chocolate.
I will never forget what could have been...

Super Professor
To start, I've never gone to school at a place before where you have to take your assignments to the professor's car. And I use the term "professor" lightly. More like, untrained people who have knowledge about the subject they are attempting to teach the group of young adults sitting in front of them.
Seriously, this lady who teaches my class(is very nice don't get me wrong), gives us assignments and then complains about how much work they are for her. Basically starts asking us to do all these little things to make it easier for HER. Really? Who forced you to assign that in the first place? That would be no one. So don't give me an assignment and then try to make me feel guilty about turning it in because it's such a burden on you.
So to make my burden of an assignment easier, after class we get to go straight to her car to drop off the burden. Well, today after class I was chatting for literally 2 minutes with a girl in my class as I made an adjustment to my burden. She and I walked outside...and poof...the teacher was gone! Really? Did that just happen? Now the question is if she'll believe us and let us get full credit. If not, I think I'll have to throw a little tantrum.
I happen to be watching Seinfeld and let me tell you I am NOT sad the '90's are over! Poor Elaine! Picture an ankle length skirt that buttons up in the front, but only to above the knee, white socks folded down and some sort of black, tied dress shoe. Oh, don't forget the floral vest!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
Just a little background info...up until a year or two ago I had been getting my hair cut from the same lady since I was 12. Up until that point my mom had been cutting my hair, which worked out great. However, when Jennifer Aniston came out with her "3 layered" look boy did I want to look like that! I knew nothing about hair, all I knew was that Jen had 3 layers so that's what I told my mom - 3 layers. She did great at following directions, she put my hair into 3 sections and chopped! Needless to say it did NOT turn out how I envisioned, if you can imagine that. I looked like a mushroom. A bad mushroom. Hence my first experience at the salon. Well, I moved to Salt Lake a few years ago, my hair dresser was in Ogden and it just wasn't plausible anymore to drive to Ogden for a hair cut. So I've been on the search for a new stylist...and failing!
You know, I only get to get a hair cut a couple times a year cuz those things are expensive! When your hair decides it needs a cut, that's it, it's over. You cannot go any longer without a cut unless you want to have bad hair days between now and your next cut. My hair had definately decided it was ready. So I save up my pennies and I finally-FINALLY get to go get a cut and color. Yeah, that was a waste of $130! I think I could have gotten the same results had a taken advantage of the $6.99 haircut sale at Great Clips! And I wish I would have! Seriously, she spent like 5 minutes trimming the ends, and did nothing to texturize or add a little shape. My hair feels just as limp and heavy as it did before...the only difference...now my wallet is $130 down and longing for that money back (or at least a good haircut).
Now I mentioned before that a few months ago I got my bangs cut by my friend Cherie in Las Vegas. They were great! Seriously, the best bangs I've ever had! So I tried to describe them to the lady. -They were big and thick and came from the back forward, you know, using the hand motions and everything. I mentioned I liked them cut at an angle...yeah straight across later....so frustrating! How do you get straight across from "I like them cut at an angle?" So Cherie, if you're reading this...you may see me in Vegas for a bang cut! :) Or, next time you're in L-town, you better call me!
So moving onto the color...yes there's a story there too. I'll just cut to the main points (no pun intended). I wanted it dark. The time before I came in the girl did a fantastic job with the cut and color...I loved it! Yeah, apparently she doesn't work at that salon anymore :( So we put in the color, sit, rinse, wash, cut, dry...you can hardly tell a difference. I had some blonde in my hair as well (compliments of Cherie) and she went around each blonde chunk...which by now is turning brassy and icky...thanks lady for leaving that. It looked so bad. She was shocked my hair didn't take to the dark like hair normally does I guess. So she had an hour opening the next morning she said I could come back and she'd fix. This I appreciated. So I went back, told her to weave through the blonde and dun, dun, dun, da...looks great! (minus the bad bangs and the fact my hair is still limp). However, I got to leave the place with sopping wet hair.
The sad part of this whole thing is that I really liked the stylist. She was nice, (I thought) she understood what I was asking, easy to talk to...the whole sha-bang. Unfortunately I just can't risk going back. So if you have any suggestions, let me know. Though it'll be a while til I can afford it again :(

It's Been Forever
Yeah, so I know it's been forever, but I'm not one of those married people who have all this married stuff to talk about! ;)
Let's see, since the last post in OCTOBER...I went on my first cruise! So fun! I pretty much wanted to book another one immediately when I got home, but refrained. On the way down we stopped in Vegas and I visited Cherie and her hubby which was pretty fun. I was nervous it might be a little awkward since we haven't even really talked in years...but I thought it went well. She colored my hair and gave me seriously the cutest bangs I've ever had. And you were right Cherie...they did grow out way cute!
Oh, and I got a new car about a month ago. Yup, sold the little Focus and I got me an SUV! The cutest, yellow, 4WD, supercharged Xterra you have ever seen! I seriously love it every time I drive it. Though I've been getting the crappiest gas mileage. And I knew that would happen of course, I just think it's even a little worse than I expected. I'll have to post some pics.
Let's see...started school again. One day I just decided it would be fun to take some interior design classes, so I went home and applied at SLCC and that was that. So I'm staying pretty busy to say the least.
